These Terms and Conditions govern your use of BackupOnCall ("we," "our," or "us"), an AI-powered call answering service. By signing up for or using BackupOnCall, you agree to these terms.
BackupOnCall is an AI-powered answering service that answers inbound calls on behalf of businesses, collects caller information, and delivers summaries and notifications to the business client. The service may also send SMS messages to business clients and, with caller consent, to callers requesting appointment booking links.
Program name: BackupOnCall
Message types: Transactional notifications including real-time missed call alerts to business clients, and optional booking links to callers who have provided verbal consent during a call.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on call volume. Business clients receive one SMS per incoming call. Callers receive a single message only when they have opted in verbally during a call.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates apply to all SMS messages sent and received.
To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. For help, reply HELP or contact us at john@backuponcall.com.
BackupOnCall is intended for use by businesses and professional service providers. By signing up, you represent that you are authorized to receive calls and messages on behalf of your business.
BackupOnCall is offered on a monthly subscription basis. Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. There are no long-term contracts. You may cancel at any time.
A 7-day money-back guarantee applies to your first month. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the initial purchase.
You agree not to use BackupOnCall for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the service complies with all applicable telecommunications and privacy laws.
We strive to maintain continuous service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service outages or interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Clients configure screening questions; an AI agent conducts structured phone interviews with job candidates and returns transcripts, scores, and results to the Client dashboard. HireHotline is a screening tool only and does not make hiring decisions.

Screening calls may be recorded. It is the Client's sole responsibility to ensure all required disclosures and consents are obtained from candidates prior to any call, including compliance with applicable state call recording laws.
HireHotline is offered on a monthly subscription basis with a defined call cap. When the cap is reached, screening pauses until the next billing cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
AI-generated transcripts and scores may contain errors or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing screening outputs and for any employment decision made in reliance on them.
ReferenceRabbit is an AI-powered reference checking service. References call in using a unique code, an AI agent conducts a structured interview, and the Client receives a written report, transcript, and audio recording within approximately 24 hours. ReferenceRabbit is a reference gathering tool only and does not evaluate or score candidates.
Depending on how ReferenceRabbit is used, it may qualify as a consumer reporting agency activity under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We strongly recommend consulting qualified legal counsel to determine your compliance obligations before use. We make no representation that use of ReferenceRabbit automatically satisfies FCRA or any other legal compliance requirement.
All reference calls are recorded. It is the Client's sole responsibility to ensure all required disclosures and consents are obtained from references prior to any call being initiated.
ReferenceRabbit is available through one-time check bundles and monthly subscriptions. Bundle checks are non-refundable once delivered. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Unused monthly checks bank up to the plan cap and do not carry over upon cancellation.
